During the 2012-2013 school year, a conservative movement against same-sex marriage affiliated with the Manif pour tous — the prominent anti-same sex marriage movement — developed in Martinique. Based on a participative research within the School Academy of Martinique Gender Equality mission, and a field study conducted on the movement against equal marriage rights in Martinique, this article observes the impact of this local movement on school projects in favor of gender equality.
