This paper aims to discuss the different theoretical approaches focused on blogs and social networking sites that, from the pioneering studies on personal Web pages to the more recent ones, have been addressing the topic of digital identity. It also maintains that this subject can be tackled via the intersubjectivity process that is part of the construction of the online self.
