The text recalls the context of the increasing support for parenthood, originating in civil society, in which institutions and the State have become increasingly interested, while trying to formalise it. This tendency is quite contradictory because it involves multiple social, educational, political and managerial presuppositions that are not necessarily homogenous, while the idea of parenthood tries to take into account the upheaval in the family order that began in the 1970’s.
