This paper proposes a comparison between the INSERM archives and the written versions of S. Saint-Anne Dargassies’s work. A pioneer in the field of neonatology, she worked in the Baudelocque Clinic in Paris and after the creation of INSERM, in Unit 29 directed by Professor Alexandre Minkowski. Her work had three main focuses: neurological maturation, the normal status in the neonate, and disorders in the neonatal period as compared to the normal status.
