In a context where we willingly speak of “non-law” or “invalid law,” diverse and paradoxical realities appear to underpin the methods of legal intervention in labor relations, as well as their formalization, in Togo. Through the distinctive prism of analyzing labor law mobilization, the author attempts to see how the legal category of the employment contract is treated. The theoretical framework of legal mobilization allows, in an epistemological manner, to expand the scope of legal study of official African law. The author proposes an analysis of the link between production mechanisms, justifications of law, and the complexity of its effects in the regulation of labor relations in Togo.
