After describing this project, from its origins to the latest technological developments, the article discusses the political support for its realization, as well as the strategies for its social acceptability, including the influence of the transfeminist and LGBTQ movements. Since bioethics corresponds to the ex post ratification of improvements in the artificialization of reproduction, only popular opposition will make it possible to avoid the establishment of a society without mothers.
