What are the possibilities of acquiring new agricultural land and what are the opportunities for people willing to become farmers in Île de France (Paris region)? In order to answer that question, we follow the actions carried out by interconnected alternative groups to resolve the tensions on land use, in a context of increasing citizen expectations for a local agriculture. Based on a singular governance, the Abiosol association represents an effective counter-power against traditional institutions operating on land use, with whom it can however builds partnerships. It forces all the stakeholders to change their intervention framework while its power of action and its expertise encourage the rise of new relationships with local authorities.
