The diffusion of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in the workplace has transformed executives’ activity, affecting their quality of life. Executives’ behavioral adjustments, rarely verbalized and thus invisible to the organization, allow them to cope with pressured work environments which place value upon being constantly connected. In order to understand how executives manage with ICT in their daily lives, we conducted a study of 62 executives using an approach which combines the concepts of Information - Communication Science and Work Psychology. This article highlights the contributions of two methodological approaches applied to the study of ICT: a longitudinal perspective and a biographical approach.
