The emergence of an e-book market in the French cultural space has led to a gradual reshaping of professional practice. Information professionals and more specifically, school and public librarians, are particularly concerned by this evolution. In this article we present the results of a study of information professionals, whether users or non-users of digital reading devices. The aim of this study was to investigate information professionals’ representations and perceptions of e-books and their thoughts about the future of their profession.
