The article uses biographical interviews with company heads in the Marseille region as the basis for his examination of the territorial dimension of the activities and careers of economic leaders. Through lexical analysis of the corpus, the author is able to identify various connections between economic activities and their location. By referring these relationships to the career paths of the company heads, he identifies serial occasions when they mobilised regional resources to manage their professional capital. The article thus hopes to contribute to a sociology of the social component of entrepreneurial activities.
