This article presents the experience of intergenerational support mobilized in the context of a regional branch of the civil service under tension. The arrival of two older colleagues with different backgrounds changed the balance of existing relationships, leading to better organization of work, based on assigning work by focusing on the strengths of each individual. The branch was able to hold its own in the face of contradictory orders and to protect individuals from burn-out.
