Description

Published annually by the Groupe d’études balzaciennes, in collaboration with the Centre National du Livre, L’Année balzacienne is a recognized journal created in 1959.

The journal is addressed to researchers, teachers, students, and, generally, anyone interested in the work of Balzac and its context. It welcomes all schools of thought, publishes the proceedings of the conferences organized by the Groupe d’études balzaciennes, and alternates panoramic and thematic issues.

In addition to articles of literary criticism, each volume contains several established sections: “Critical Review,” “Balzac Bibliography,” “Balzac Abroad,” and “Information and News.”

Three series have been published since 1959: L’Année balzacienne 2000 marked the beginning of the third series, published by Presses universitaires de France (PUF).
