We use the philosophy of the event to conceptualise the political in the virtual / actual dialectic of the Anthropocene event. Borrowing from the biogeochemical, cultural and scientific fields, we rethink the Anthropocene event in the educational field as a form of political learning. The latter form the pedagogical and didactic basis for an educational heterotopia: political education in the Anthropocene, including science education and other subject or issue-specific educational areas, which are constantly actualizing elements of it.
