This study aims to understand traditional professionals’ behaviors toward a law that clashes with their traditions. When tradition is confronted with rules, how do professionals react? Based on an exploratory qualitative study on the unique case of the Labbé Law, we formulate several proposals that help to explain traditional professionals’ behaviors toward this law.
