Description
Since 2008, the Nouvelle Revue d'Esthétique superceded the Revue française d’esthétique founded in 1948. The Nouvelle revue d’Esthétique has a strong philosophical identity that is expressed through standards of clarity and conceptual precision, yet does not signify a withdrawal into a single discipline. On the contrary, the Nouvelle Revue d’Esthétique strives to be at the crossroads of disciplines that are also concerned with art. It seeks to build upon its fruitful collaboration with art history, psychology, psychoanalysis, anthropology, and sociology to examine selected themes. The journal is open to all arts, not just the visual arts, but also include: literature, music, architecture, cinema, etc. It is a forum for interdisciplinary debate on aesthetics and the philosophy of art. Each issue contains a thematic section, a selection of unrelated articles (varia), and a collection of reviews of noteworthy artistic publications and events.

Instructions for Authors
A call for proposals for each thematic section is published on the website of the Société Française d’Esthétique (www.s-f-e.org). Authors may also send articles for the varia section. Articles should be roughly 25,000 characters (+ or – 15%) in length, spaces included. The articles submitted are rendered anonymous and then evaluated by at least two members of the editorial or scientific committee, and, on occasion, by two external reviewers. The collective deliberation of the editorial board determines the final publication decision.
Article submissions must be sent both by regular mail and by email.
