On the right use of anxiety in psycho-sociological interventions

This paper focuses on anxiety as a lever for groups in great difficulty to overcome their distress. The presentation of cases of intervention in crisis situations, in France and abroad, over a few decades, shows how the use of innovative techniques allows for the expression of representations, the analysis of conflicts, and problem solving. The use of sociology, psychoanalysis, and economy clarifies the stakes and the logics at work and broadens the view of the situation so as to discover the main determinations.
