Forty years after the publication of L’emprise de l’organisation (2019 [1979]), this article returns to tltx Belgium, the European subsidiary that served as a field of investigation for Max Pagès, Daniel Bonetti, Vincent de Gaulejac, and Daniel Descendre. Building upon the empirical findings and theoretical framework set out in the original study, the authors focus on how control and the mediations on which it was constructed have evolved. Conversely, the paper also examines the departures, resistance, and disengagement of employees resulting from new practices within the multinational corporation.
