The great success of Spain is to be found in its ability to have gotten rid of the many constraints that burdened the lives of the Spanish people. It has followed a process of 'privatization’ much more radical than its neighbors. Although it has not reached the level of scientific and technical creation and social security of its European partners, Spain is so self-confident and believes so much in Europe that it is best placed to give the latter the political value and efficiency it seems to have lost.
