The development of social struggles organized in large part through networks (Indignados, Occupy, etc.) and of the uses of digitized information technologies has led to a renewal of the exercise of political judgment. The internet has become an essential tool for the publicity of various civic expressions (long-distance expertise, testimony, etc.) and has sustained the dynamic trend towards a broadening of political participation.
