While dependence on Gafa is increasing for a majority of media all over the world, new media players appear which are broadcast only via social networks, using video which allows short viral formats. This article is about first results of a wider research about these new kinds of media, working without website or any traditional support (Brut is the most familiar example in France). We are working about the link between the evolution of news contents, and consultation metrics. Our main hypothesis is that these metrics replace part of the work of an editorial line. But we’ll also show thanks to a chronological analysis of a corpus of Brut’s videos that a specific editorial line emerge, consisting to narrate in first person, certain kinds of society problems representative of current debates of the public sphere.
