The notion of “surveillance capitalism” (Foster & McChesney, 2014) has recently given rise to particularly interesting works. These researches are based, on the one hand, on scholarly survey and documentation works, and, on the other hand, on transdisciplinary approaches which, in this case, fully keep their heuristic promises. In the context of this Focus, we will pay more attention to the Shoshana Zuboff’s Book titled The Age of Surveillance Capitalism (2019). We address some of the key interests and issues revealed by the book and discuss some of them based on literature that echoes and often pays homage to it.
