This article is a reaction to the special feature on subjectivity in issue 80 of the Recherche et formation journal. The aim here is to discuss some points related to the conceptions of the subject which underpin the perspective developed by the authors, who essentially adopt a psycho-phenomenological point of view to consider the notion of subjectivity. We try to show how this perspective, however interesting, can sometimes downplay the importance of the categories of “social subject” and “subject of the unconscious”.
