Founded in 1929, Recherches Economiques de Louvain - Louvain Economic Review is a quarterly journal published by members of the Department of Economics of the Catholic University of Louvain. It publishes peer reviewed articles, theoretical and empirical, in the main fields of economics.

Instructions for Authors
Recherches Economiques de Louvain - Louvain Economic Review publishes articles in French and English.
Manuscripts must be sent in PDF format to Sébastien Schillings.
Manuscripts must comprise an abstract of at most ten lines, with an indication of maximum three numbers from the Classification System for articles in the Journal of Economic Literature, as well as three key words
All articles in the Recherches Economiques de Louvain - Louvain Economic Review must comply with the following instructions:
1. Documents
- Two paper copies in A4 format (comrising tables and graphs) with very clear print (preferably laser) to be sent to Sébastien Schillings
- One electronic copy in PDF format (absolutely identical to the paper copies) to Sébastien Schillings with the source file in LaTeX, Word or Scientific Word.
2. Layout
- The parts of the text must be numbered according to the decimal system (1,1.1, 1.1.1, etc).
- Footnotes must be featured at the bottom of each page, not at the end of the article.
- Annexes must be numbered alphabetically. They may comprise a sub-title.
- The bibliography must be placed after any annexes.
3. Graphs and tables
- Graphs (date, graphs and tables) must be in the format of the software used to create them.
- Graphs and tables must be numbered in order using Arabic numerals. Graphs must be referred to by their numbers in the text and must be inserted closest to where they are first mentioned.
4. Bibliographical references
The list of bibliographical references must be featured at the end of the article, (i) in alphabetical order, with reference to the name of the first (or only) author, (ii) in chronological order for each author, (iii) and in alphabetical order with reference to the titles for each year of publication.
• For a monography :
• Surname, Initials of the first name (year), Title of the work, Place of publication, Publisher
• Exemple : Shackle, G.L.S. (1967), The years of high theory : invention and tradition in economic thought 1926-1939, Cambrigde, Cambridge University Press
• For a contribution to a collective work :
• Surname, Initials (and/or) first names (year), "Title of the contribution", in Initials (and/or) first names, names, Title of the work, Place of Publication, Publisher, pages
• Exemple : Lachmann, L.M. (1986), "Austrian economics under fire : the Hayek-Sraffa duel in retrospect", in W. Grassl et B. Smith (éds.), Austrian economics, historical and philosophical background, New-York, New-York University Press, pp.225-242
• For an article :
• Author's name, Initials of the first name (year), "Title of the article", Name of the journal with no abbreviations, Volume, Pages

5. Offprints
Authors are entitled to twenty offpints to share between them. Please state clearly the address(es) to which these offprints should be sent.
