Understanding the transformations in the role and place of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) in current changes requires a twofold change of perspective. The aim is, on the one hand, to combine an approach to the current crisis as a cyclical crisis and an approach that considers it structural and, on the other hand, to enrich the traditional analysis of the social and solidarity economy enterprise (SSEE) as the combination of an association and an enterprise by an institutionalist approach. The latter, encompassing in nature, makes it possible to register the EESS as a social construction, producing specific values, norms and rules, and thus as an actor in the mode of socio-economic regulation.
