Encouraged by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, French universities are increasingly engaged in entrepreneurship activities. In this context, this article examines current practices at the University of Corsica that are designed to boost entrepreneurial intent among its students. We look at the perception of the university community concerning its entrepreneurship practices, identifying how the university facilitates new venture creation or SMB acquisitions and its means of improving the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. The objective is to identify best practices in entrepreneurship training, support, and vocation development that may be replicated elsewhere, thus contributing to increasing the effectiveness of entrepreneurship ecosystems around French universities. Based on the literature review and the recommendations of the interviewed experts, we propose a framework to evaluate the effectiveness of entrepreneurship programs in higher education. The results of the exploratory study highlight some lessons, such as the co-construction of the project and the mobilizing of internal dialogue and exchange with the territory, but also the importance of some of the university’s stimulus vectors, which appear to play a significant role in line with the university’s founding ethos.
