CAIRN-INT.INFO : International Edition

Description

Founded in 1893 by Xavier Léon and Elie Halévy, the Revue de Métaphysique et de Morale (RMM) has continually published articles at the cutting edge of philosophical research from the best national and international specialists. The publication deals with all topics (and excludes none) with an overarching perspective without taking the side of any particular school of thought.

For this purpose, the journal publishes thematic issues on questions debated in the international philosophy community with a special section, put together by a member of the Editorial Committee or independent contributor with outstanding credentials. The Varia (miscellaneous articles) are selected after careful consideration of articles for an innovative approach.

The RMM also regularly publishes a Bulletin of Ancient Philosophy and a column on Moral and Political Philosophy that report on the most recent work in these domains. A “Critical Reading” (Étude Critique) section that is broader in scope focuses on publications of particular importance, thereby rounding out the content.

Enjoying a wider international readership (four issues per year) the Revue de Métaphysique et de Morale is generally considered to be a publication of reference due to articles on traditional issues and its openness to more contemporary ones.
