A remarkable feature of the unprecedented financial crisis that erupted in September 2008 is the doctrinal shift among world leaders. We are all Keynesians again ! But who were the prophets of the financial mayhem of 2008? Almost no one. One reason is that in fact nobody in economics reads Keynes, or any author any more. This pleads for a radical change in the teaching of economics, more interdisciplinary, and open to History and political philosophy.
