The three big ways of the modern emancipation, liberal, socialist and communist, are gradually questioned, in the second half of the 20th century, by wars, decolonization, ecological crisis and Soviet collapse. Do we have to give up the universalism and the emancipation ? No, the postmodern thoughts, in particular ecologism, try to open the other ways.
