This article questions the rise of post-humanistic utopias and cyborg technologies. Their project of un-limiting individual possibilities raises the question of the transcending of humanity. Must this project be interpreted as the victory of culture over nature, or as the total reification of Man and nature as objects of technological development. In any case, the concrete utopia of the cyborg is synonymous with a veritable anthropological mutation. Rather than realizing the impossible absolute mastering of nature by Man, the cyborg utopia could lead humanity to an unheard of process of dispossession and alienation.
