Immersion in reality, immersion in writing, immersion in the reality of writing: after twenty years of research and action, we reveal writing as a hymen, between cry and unveiling. Writing has become an issue for those who are called to disappear, be born, live, survive. The sociologist is more than a witness; he or she acts as a conduit from one language to the other. The real gives way to the word, which names, designates, trans-names. A merciless battle is waged over the words to tell it, write it, convey it. Poetry helps us in this task because it opens, innovates, invents, resists in the language. That is what Mallarmé called the foundation of the modern popular poem.
