In Latin America, many young people are failing to find a place on the labor market. For lack of any better options, they may join criminal narcotrafficking networks. In Argentina, a program called “Protectors of the Shared Home”—inspired by the encyclical of Pope Francis—aims to show young people that another sort of work is possible: paid work that serves the Earth.
