Description
Sociétés et Représentations, a thematic and transdisciplinary journal, seeks to multiply insights on the “questions of society” through approaches drawn from related scientific disciplines—perspectives that are ignored or rarely communicated. It invites foreign scholars and actors who are sometimes unable to communicate to take part in the discussion of hypotheses of new or little explored questions.
The members of the CREDHESS (Centre de recherche et d'études en droit, histoire, économie et sociologie du social) set as their initial objective to create a journal at the intersection of the university world and the public at large. While preserving a certain scientific rigor, they tried to make the journal accessible and attractive by monitoring the readability of the contributions, working on the iconography and layout, and offering a large selective bibliography at the end of the volume.
Plural in its subject matter and pluralist with respect to suggested approaches, Sociétés et Représentations wants to be open to questions encountered by contemporary society in the familiarity of its forms while participating in a renewed way of thinking.
