Sociologie is a quarterly journal published by Presses Universitaires de France; it has been available online through the Cairn website since 2010. An electronic version is also available and gives readers free access to certain articles, the electronic annexes of articles, publication reviews, recent news, and more.

This general journal does not represent a specific school of thought or methodology. It favors a pluralistic approach to the discipline. It is open to other related disciplines interested in discussing sociological concepts and subjects.
Description
Objectives
Sociologie is composed of several sections:
- STUDIES: original research articles based on the analysis of empirical materials.
- THEORIES & METHODS: original research articles on theoretical and methodological issues, in an historic perspective.
- CRITICAL SURVEY: a national or international overview of a chosen research topic.
- CURRENT DEBATE: contrasting views on a sociological issue, or a question of interest to the sociological community
- REVIEWS of publications
Editorial Policy
Sociologie publishes previously unpublished articles in French or English. Issues are not thematic, although articles may be grouped if their related content so allows. In accordance with primary international criteria for the evaluation and selection of scientific articles, each article is anonymously reviewed by two members of the peer-review committee and two external readers.
