1What better way to start off 2017 than with the second special issue on coaching edited by the Franco-British team of Jean-François Loudcher and Dave Day! The Editorial Board is proud of these two bilingual achievements (issues 114 and 115), the fruit of a colossal work on the part of the project coordinators, motivated by the double requirement of scientific and linguistic relevance. The result is magnificent. We hope that the faithful readers of the STAPS journal appreciate the care taken by this team to achieve the ambitious target it had set previously. The editorial committee would like to congratulate the editors of these two special issues, the authors, the translators and the numerous reviewers who helped to complete this great undertaking. Even better, all participants can be proud to have inaugurated a theme that was scarcely explored from its historical and multidisciplinary perspective. Let us hope that these issues fulfill their goals and garner the praise they deserve. Meanwhile, the STAPS journal is pleased to publish this second issue on coaching, which clearly meets the two main directions of its editorial policy: scientific excellence and international openness.
2If you appreciate the fact that STAPS is committed to scientific excellence and the international dissemination of knowledge in the field of sport, spread the word!
