The Chronique internationale de l’IRES is a quarterly publication founded in 1989. Its mission is to provide its readers with the keys to understanding social, economic, and political current events abroad, both within the European Union and further afield (ILO, etc.). It aims to provide important information that contributes to nuanced analyses of public policy and institutional changes. Based on the subject at hand, authors should communicate the reactions and positions of social actors with regard to the events and reforms in question. This drive to look abroad to learn from foreign experiences falls in line with the desire to promote a de-centered view of national practices and realities.
Three of the four annual issues bring together various articles, while the last of the year, published in December, is a special issue devoted to a particular theme (youth in crisis, unemployment benefit reform, etc.), which is studied comparatively.
